The basic shape of paper box packaging is a piece of paper, which is folded, die-cut, connected or glued to give it various shapes. From the perspective of the shape structure and manufacturing process of the paper box, packaging paper boxes can be divided into the following categories.
1. Straight paper box is the most common form of paper box. It is currently widely used in the packaging of medicines. Its production method is to punch out creases on the paper, cut off the unnecessary parts, and then fold and glue it mechanically or manually. The advantages of this type of paper box are simple structure and low cost. Since it can be folded and stacked before use, it can also save stacking space and transportation costs. This type of paper box is more suitable for thinner structures.
2. The structure of the barrel-type carton is very simple. It has no cover and bottom. It is folded in one direction to form a tube. It is often used to cover chocolate, candy, cakes, etc.; the insert-type carton is the most typical representative of the linear carton. Due to the different insertion directions at both ends, it can be divided into straight-insertion type and reverse-insertion type; the adhesive carton does not have the insertion structure of the insert-type carton. It relies on adhesives to bond the upper cover and the bottom. It is a sturdy carton suitable for holding powdered or granular goods.
3. The lock-bottom carton changes the insert-type bottom cover to a lock-bottom structure, eliminating the bonding process, and can hold heavier goods, such as cosmetics, wine, medicines and other vertical goods. Compared with the insert-type carton, the same size carton saves more materials because the lock-bottom carton eliminates the insertion structure of the bottom cover.
4. The disc-shaped carton is a carton with a disc-shaped structure. Most carton boxes except the linear carton belong to this form. The disc-shaped paper box has a wide range of uses, such as food, groceries, textile clothing and gifts. Its biggest advantage is that it generally does not require adhesives, but uses the method of adding cuts to the structure of the paper box itself to fasten and lock the paper box to form and seal it.
5. Convenience paper boxes are paper boxes with easy-to-open structures that have developed with the changes in commodity circulation and have packaging opening machines. Since consumers can operate and take out the contents with one hand, using convenience paper boxes has become the choice of modern consumers.
